Major Lane Closure, 66 Street (28 Avenue to 34 Avenue)

Noise, Notice

April 28, 2021 – Starting on or about May 05, crews will be performing concrete works on the medians on 66 Street, from 28 Avenue to 34 Avenue. To accommodate this work, one of the southbound lanes of 66 Street will be partially closed at all times for work on four consecutive days and nights. Traffic will be maintained with one southbound lane and two northbound lanes of 66 Street remaining open.

There will be noise associated with this work such as that from a concrete truck and gravel compaction.

To accommodate this work, the public will be impacted in the following areas:
• One southbound through lane will be partially closed will be partially closed at all times for work on four consecutive days and nights.
• Traffic will be maintained with one southbound through lane and two northbound through lanes remaining open.
• Pedestrian access will be maintained.
• There will be some noise associated with this work.

During this time please watch for, and follow, all traffic detours and direction of construction personnel and flag persons.

TransEd is committed to following all City of Edmonton bylaws and regulations and has obtained an overnight roadwork permit so that work can take place during nighttime hours in order to minimize major daytime traffic disruptions. *City of Edmonton Bylaw C14600.
