
Major Lane Closure, 66 Street (28 Avenue to 34 Avenue)
July 05, 2021 – Starting on or about July 13, 2021, crews will be constructing the Shared Used Path (SUP) on the west side of 66 Street, from 28 Avenue to 34 Avenue. To accommodate this work, one southbound lane on 66 Street will be closed in minor segments for approximately 4 weeks. This work will occur primarily during the daytime hours (7:00 am to 9:00 p.m.) with occasional nighttime work (9:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m.)
There will be noise associated with this work such as concrete pump trucks backing up, as well as concrete pumping and small machinery moving. TransEd is committed to doing everything possible to mitigate noise and vibrations during work in this area. The noisiest works will occur during the daytime hours.
To accommodate this work, the public will be impacted in the following areas:
• One southbound lane on 66 Street will be closed in minor segments for approximately 4 weeks. This work will occur primarily during the daytime hours (7:00 am to 9:00 p.m.) with occasional nighttime work (9:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m.)
• There will be noise associated with this work.
• Pedestrian access will be maintained. At least three of four crosswalks will always be maintained at all intersections
• Flaggers will be on hand to assist traffic.
During this time, please watch for, and follow, all traffic detours and direction of construction personnel.
