Major Lane Closure 102 Avenue

Noise, Notice, Sidewalk, Vehicle

EDMONTON, AB – October 27, 2017 – Starting on or around November 1, 2017, crews will begin working on 102 Avenue from 99 Street to 100 Street. Crews will be doing work in the area to prepare for the construction of the Valley Line LRT on 102 Avenue. This work will take place overnight on November 1, 2017 and November 2, 2017.

To accommodate this work, the public will be impacted in the following areas:

  • Motorists will be unable to go eastbound or westbound on 102 Avenue at 99 Street for the duration of these two nights

Alternate Routes:

  • To prevent traffic delays, motorists can use 103A Avenue as an alternate route.

There will be noise associated with the work. TransEd is committed to following all City of Edmonton bylaws and regulations, and has obtained an overnight roadwork permit so that work can take place during nighttime hours in order to minimize major daytime traffic disruptions. *City of Edmonton Bylaw C14600.

Vehicle, bicycle, and pedestrian traffic disruptions will vary by location. During this time please watch for, and observe, all traffic detours and direction of construction personnel.
