EDMONTON, AB – February 1, 2019– Starting on or around February 7, 2019, night work will intermittently occur on Connors Road. This work is to begin construction on the new wildlife tunnel.
One lane of traffic will be closed for drainage work during this time.
This work will last up to the end of February.
To accommodate this work, the public will be impacted in the following areas:
- Night Work on Connors Road for the wildlife tunnel.
- One lane will be closed.
- Pedestrian access will be maintained.
These closures are to accommodate drainage work in the area. Drainage work means that the first couple of nights are going to be the loudest. Crews will have to break through the concrete in order to access the pipes underground. Once the first few days are over and crews have broken through the concrete, the work is much quieter as crews will be working on the drainage.
TransEd is committed to following all City of Edmonton bylaws and regulations and has obtained an overnight noise permit so that work can take place during nighttime hours in order to minimize major daytime traffic disruptions. *City of Edmonton Bylaw C14600.
Vehicle, bicycle, and pedestrian traffic disruptions will vary by location. During this time please watch for, and observe, all traffic detours and direction of construction personnel.
