
Avonmore Stop Finishing Works
June 14, 2021 – Starting on or about June 21, 2021, crews will be performing finishing works on the Avonmore Stop including glass glazing. To accommodate this work, one southbound and one northbound lane of 83 Street (between 73 Avenue and 76 Avenue) will each be closed, intermittently. This work will occur overnight (9:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m.) for four nights.
There will be noise associated with this work such as backup alarms. TransEd is committed to doing everything possible to mitigate noise and vibrations during work in this area.
To accommodate this work, the public will be impacted in the following areas:
• One southbound and one northbound lane of 83 Street (between 73 Avenue and 76 Avenue) will each be closed, intermittently. This work will occur overnight (9:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m.) for four nights.
• Flaggers will be on-site to assist with keeping traffic flowing safely.
• There will be overnight noise associated with this work.
• Pedestrian access will be maintained.
During this time please watch for, and follow, all traffic detours and direction of construction personnel.
TransEd is committed to following all City of Edmonton bylaws and regulations and has obtained an overnight roadwork permit so that work can take place during nighttime hours in order to minimize major daytime traffic disruptions. *City of Edmonton Bylaw C14600.
