Argyll Road Night Work

Noise, Notice, Sidewalk, Vehicle

May 20, 2020 – Starting on or about May 27, 2020, TransEd crews  will begin working on the bridge span over Argyll Road which will include grouting, patching and sign work. This work will be sporadic and will occur overnight from 9:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m. over a two-month period.  There will be alternating lane closures in this intersection as the work is completed.  Flaggers will be on site to assist traffic.

The work itself will not be loud but there will be general construction noise such as back up beepers and flashing lights.

To accommodate this work, the public will be impacted in the following areas:

  • Overnight work on the bridge span over Argyll Road.
  • One lane will be closed on Argyll road at a time.
  • Traffic will always be maintained with three through lanes and one eastbound dedicated left-turn lane
  • Flaggers will be on hand to assist traffic.
  • Pedestrian access will be maintained.

During this time please watch for, and follow, all traffic detours and direction of construction personnel.

TransEd is committed to following all City of Edmonton bylaws and regulations and has obtained an overnight roadwork permit so that work can take place during nighttime hours in order to minimize major daytime traffic disruptions. *City of Edmonton Bylaw C14600.

We ask for your understanding and patience as construction progresses.
