
Argyll Road Closure
UPDATE: This work has been rescheduled for November 8, 2019.
October 2, 2019 – Starting on or around October 26, 2019, Argyll Road at 83 Street will be temporarily closed from 81 Street to 86 Street. 83 Street will be temporarily closed in both directions up to 69A Avenue from Argyll Road. These roads will only be closed for one night.
There will be overnight noise associated with this work. This closure is to accommodate the erection of the span that will be going over Argyll Road. Work will take place between 9:00 p.m. and 6:00 a.m. in order to minimize traffic disruptions.
To accommodate this work, the public will be impacted in the following areas:
- 83 Street will be closed in both directions from 69A Avenue to Argyll Road.
- Argyll Road will be closed from 81 Street to 86 Street completely.
- Pedestrian access will be maintained.
- To avoid delays, please use Coronet Road.
- Motorists traveling south on 83 Street should detour at 76 Avenue.
During this time please watch for, and observe, all traffic detours and direction of construction personnel.
TransEd is committed to following all City of Edmonton bylaws and regulations and has obtained an overnight roadwork permit so that work can take place during nighttime hours in order to minimize major daytime traffic disruptions. *City of Edmonton Bylaw C14600.
