
96 Street Access Closure
UPDATE: This work will extend until approximately the end of summer, 2020.
February 6, 2020 – Starting on or around February 18, 2020, TransEd crews will begin work on 102 Avenue at 96 Street. This is to accommodate drainage work around the storm water tank and is expected to continue for approximately two months.
To accommodate this work, 96 Street northbound from 101A Avenue and Jasper Avenue will be restricted to local access only. To access 96 Street southbound, motorists will need to turn left (east) on 102 Avenue. There will be noise associated with this work. TransEd is committed to doing everything possible to mitigate noise and vibrations during work in this area. This work will take place during daytime hours (7:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m.)
To accommodate this work, the public will be impacted in the following areas:
- 102 Avenue will remain closed from 95 Street to 97 Street
- 96 Street south of 102 Avenue will be open to local traffic only.
- To access 96 Street southbound, motorists will need to turn left (east) on 102 Avenue.
- Pedestrian access will be maintained.
Vehicle, bicycle, and pedestrian traffic disruptions will vary by location. During this time please watch for, and observe, all traffic detours and direction of construction personnel.
