
95 Street – Lane Closures
EDMONTON, AB – April 13, 2017 – Effective immediately, motorists travelling northbound and southbound along 95 Street can expect sporadic short term single-lane closures between Jasper Avenue and 100 Avenue for instrument monitoring. Throughout the duration of the tunnel construction project, lanes will be closed intermittently for approximately five minutes per location as work crews conduct ongoing surveys necessary for future LRT construction. Any delays will be during off-peak hours from 9:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.

To accommodate this work, the public will be impacted in the following areas:
- Jasper Avenue between 95A Street and 95 Street can expect single lane closures
- 95 Street south of Jasper can expect single lane closures
- Cameron Avenue personnel will be on site to direct traffic, as needed
- 100 Avenue personnel will be on site to direct traffic, as needed
Motorists should expect delays at these intersections during the 2017 Summer season as construction progresses. This work will not impact pedestrian or bicycle traffic.
Alternate routes:
- To avoid any potential delays, motorists can take 103A Avenue or 95A Street as alternate routes.
There will be noise associated with the work. TransEd is committed to following all City of Edmonton bylaws and regulations, and has obtained an overnight roadwork permit so that work can take place during nighttime hours in order to minimize major daytime traffic disruptions. *City of Edmonton Bylaw C14600.
Vehicle and pedestrian traffic impactions will vary by location. During this time please watch for, and observe, all traffic detours and direction of construction personnel.
