95 Avenue Night Work –Insulation Installation
September 14, 2020 – Starting September 21, 2020, crews will be installing insulation below grade at the Strathearn Stop overnight from 9:00 p.m. to 2:00 a.m. on 95 Avenue. To accommodate this work, Westbound traffic on 95 Avenue between 87 Street and 89 Street will be closed. This work is expected to last for one week.
There will be hydrovacing associated with this work. A hydrovac is a machine that allows crews to safely excavate around pipes and gas lines without the danger of hitting them. Hydrovacs can be quite loud but they are the best tool for safe excavation. Crews will make every effort to limit the use of the hydrovac to as early in the evening as possible.
During this time please watch for, and follow, all traffic detours and direction of construction personnel.
To accommodate this work, the public will be impacted in the following areas:
- Westbound closure for overnight work on 95 Avenue between 87 Street and 89 Street
- There will be noise associated with this work
- Pedestrian access will be maintained.
TransEd is committed to following all City of Edmonton bylaws and regulations and has obtained an overnight roadwork permit so that work can take place during nighttime hours in order to minimize major daytime traffic disruptions. *City of Edmonton Bylaw C14600.
We ask for your understanding and patience as construction progresses.
