85 Street North Lane Closures

UPDATE: This work will begin on or around January 15, 2018.

EDMONTON, AB – December 19, 2017 – Starting on or around January 8, 2018, motorists can expect lane closures on 85 Street north of the traffic circle. Crews will begin drainage work in the area and will be closing the east side of 85 Street to complete the work. The service road on the east side of 85 Street will also be permanently removed.

To accommodate this work, the public will be impacted in the following areas:

  • Closure of the east side of the street on 85 Street.
  • The service road on the east side of the street will be removed permanently.
  • Please visit https://www.edmonton.ca/ets/general-service-alerts.aspx for all ETS changes and updates.
  • Pedestrian access will be maintained on the west side.

Vehicle, bicycle, and pedestrian traffic disruptions will vary by location. During this time please watch for, and observe, all traffic detours and direction of construction personnel. We appreciate your patience as we build the Valley Line LRT.
