83 Street Overnight Lane Closure

Noise, Notice, Sidewalk, Vehicle

February 27, 2020 – Starting on or about March 6, 2020, TransEd crews will be continuing to complete track work on the elevated guideway on 83 Street near the intersection of 83 Street and Argyll Road.  To accommodate this work, southbound traffic on 83 Street will be periodically closed during overnight hours (9:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m.) from 69A Ave to Argyll Road.  These closures are expected to last until mid-summer.

To accommodate this work, the public will be impacted in the following areas:

  • Southbound traffic on 83 Street will be closed between 69A Ave and Argyll Road.
  • There will be overnight noise associated with this work.
  • Pedestrian access will be maintained.

During this time please watch for, and follow, all traffic detours and direction of construction personnel.

TransEd is committed to following all City of Edmonton bylaws and regulations and has obtained an overnight roadwork permit so that work can take place during nighttime hours in order to minimize major daytime traffic disruptions. *City of Edmonton Bylaw C14600.
