83 Street Lane Closure

UPDATE – May 29, 2020 – Crews will need an additional closure on May 31.

May 25, 2020 – Starting on or about May 29, crews will be closing the northbound lane on 83 Street from Argyll Road to 73 Avenue. This closure will be for one night only from 9:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m.

There will be minimal noise associated with this work but there will be flashing lights and back up beepers.

To accommodate this work, the public will be impacted in the following areas:

  • One southbound lane will be maintained.
  • Motorists can use 81 Street as an alternate route.
  • Pedestrian access will be maintained.

 During this time please watch for, and observe, all traffic detours and direction of construction personnel.

TransEd is committed to following all City of Edmonton bylaws and regulations and has obtained an overnight roadwork permit so that work can take place during nighttime hours in order to minimize major daytime traffic disruptions. *City of Edmonton Bylaw C14600.
