83 Street and 76 Avenue Signal Changes

Notice, Vehicle

UPDATE – October 4, 2019 – Due to reallocation of work, these signals will not be re-installed until 2020.

EDMONTON, AB – April 25, 2018 – Starting on or around May 2, 2018, the traffic signals at 76 Avenue and 83 Street will be temporarily removed. They will be replaced with stop signs for east/west traffic. This is a temporary change and the signals will be re-installed approximately September, 2018.

To accommodate this work, the public will be impacted in the following areas:

  • Traffic lights will be temporarily removed at 83 Street and 76 Avenue and replaced with east/west facing stop signs.
  • Pedestrian access will be maintained.
  • Please note: a flashing crosswalk signal will be in effect allowing pedestrians to cross 83 Street and 76 Avenue safely during the period of disruption.

During this time please watch for, and observe, all traffic detours and direction of construction personnel. We appreciate your patience as we build the Valley Line LRT.
