66 Street between 28 Avenue and Whitemud Drive – Night Time Paving
Important information regarding November/December construction on 66 Street
between 28 Avenue and Whitemud Drive
We know the work being done for the Valley Line LRT impacts you and your neighbours. We apologize for any inconveniences and appreciate your ongoing patience. We would like the opportunity to give you an update on construction and a look ahead to 2017.
What’s Happening Now:
- Night time paving in the median of 66 Street is largely complete between
Whitemud and 28 Ave. Remaining paving includes specific locations on 66
Street where high pressure pipelines are located. Work has begun in these areas,
including excavation, and gravel placement. These locations on 66 Street are: just
south of 31 Avenue, north of 41 Avenue (across from McDonalds and Esso).
Please see the map below. - Overnight work for 2016 on 66 Street will be intermittent and is planned to be
completed by early December 2016.
Why We Work At Night:
TransEd completes roadwork overnight so as to avoid major daytime traffic disruptions. TransEd has a permit in place that allows work to take place overnight. We greatly appreciate your patience.
