28 Avenue Lane Reduction

EDMONTON, AB – May 15, 2019 – Starting on or about May 21, 2019, traffic on 28 Avenue west of Youville Drive west/Hewes Way will be reduced to one lane in each direction and traffic will be pushed the north side of the road. This will only take place during nighttime hours (9:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m.). 

This work will last for approximately three nights.

To accommodate this work, the public will be impacted in the following areas:

  • 28 Avenue just west of Youville Drive west/Hewes Way will be shifted to the north.
  • One lane in each direction will be maintained.
  • Pedestrian access will be maintained.

TransEd is committed to following all City of Edmonton bylaws and regulations and has obtained an overnight roadwork permit so that work can take place during nighttime hours in order to minimize major daytime traffic disruptions. *City of Edmonton Bylaw C14600.

During this time please watch for, and observe, all traffic detours and direction of construction personnel. We appreciate your patience as we build the Valley Line LRT.
