24-Hour Work in River Valley

Noise, Notice

EDMONTON, AB – January 18, 2018 – On or around January 22, 2018, crews will begin working in the sheet-pile coffer cells in the river valley on a 24-hour basis. There are two coffers: one on the north side and one on the south side of the river.

As these coffers are very deep there will be little noise associated with the work. There may be flashing lights and occasional beeping though throughout the night. The work will last approximately two and a half months for each side of the river valley.

Please be aware that this work may also be taking place on Sundays.

TransEd is committed to following all City of Edmonton bylaws and regulations, and has obtained an overnight permit so that work can take place during nighttime hours in order to minimize major daytime traffic disruptions. (City of Edmonton Bylaw C14600).

We are doing everything we can to mitigate noise during work hours in this area. We ask for your understanding and patience as construction progresses. For the most current, up-to-date information in your area, please visit: http://transedlrt.ca/advisories/.
